Welcoming Fall Together
September brought cooler weather, changing leaves, and plenty of opportunities for participants at Residential Concepts to enjoy seasonal activities, community outings, and time together. As summer came to a close, we welcomed fall with a full month of fun, learning, movement, and hands-on experiences.
Our September themes included Carnival, Apples, Pumpkins, and Scarecrows, giving participants a variety of seasonal activities to enjoy throughout the month. These themes helped us celebrate the beginning of fall while encouraging creativity, participation, and connection.
The cooler temperatures also made September a great month for spending more time outdoors. Participants enjoyed park outings and visits to local parks, taking advantage of the comfortable weather and fresh air.
Animal care continued to be another favorite activity. Participants had opportunities to help care for and spend time with our animals, creating meaningful moments while encouraging responsibility and engagement.
We also stayed active in the community with outings to karate, Anchor Fitness, Kroger, the library, Walmart, and local parks. These trips give participants opportunities to stay connected with the community, practice everyday skills, and enjoy new experiences outside of our program.
Cooking, Learning, and Creating Together
Meal preparation has been especially popular recently. Participants have enjoyed helping prepare meals, learning new skills, and working together in the kitchen. From gathering ingredients to helping with different steps of a recipe, meal prep provides a fun and practical way for everyone to participate.
One of our favorite September outings was a trip to Pringles Orchard for apple picking. Participants picked fresh apples that could be used in fall recipes, making the experience both fun and connected to our seasonal activities.
September was a wonderful start to the fall season, and we’re excited to continue enjoying everything autumn has to offer. From pumpkins and apples to outdoor adventures, community outings, and time together, there is plenty more fall fun ahead at Residential Concepts!
